Happy National Orchid Day was this week.
Orchid is Big Island's island flower - we are calld 'Orchid Isle'. When you go to the east side of Big Island (wet side), there are several National Parks: Volcani National Park, Hawai'i Tropical Botanical Garden and Akatsuka Orchid Garden, where you can view so many different kinds of orchids.Among many kinds, I chose my favorite orchid, Phalaenopsis, to illustrate; it has rounded cute petals with so many sweet pastel colors. I hope you enjoy coloring it. The photo is taken in our yard:)
